1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This policy explains how MELONTICOS SRL (brand ELITA-9, “we”) processes the personal data of visitors to www.elita9.md and of customers who contact us.

We process data under Law no. 195/2024 on personal data protection.

2. What data we process

The site has no forms and does not use cookies. We process personal data only when you contact us or come to the workshop:

• first and last name, phone number, email address;
• vehicle details: make, model, license plate;
• photos of the vehicle and the claim file documents (assessment report, policy, police documents), when we handle the insurance claim;
• technical data about your visit (IP address, browser type), processed by the hosting provider to run and secure the site.

3. Why we process it and on what legal basis

• Answering calls and messages, inspection and estimate: steps taken at your request before a contract.
• Repair, warranty and invoicing: performance of the contract and legal obligations, including accounting.
• Insurance claim file: performance of the contract, at your request.
• Site security and visit statistics: our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and knowing which pages and buttons are used.

4. Cookies and statistics

The site sets no cookies and stores no information on your device.

For statistics we use Umami, which counts visits and taps on the phone and directions buttons without cookies and without storing your IP address. Links to Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube open external services with their own privacy policies.

5. Who we share data with

Data may be shared only with:

• insurance companies, for claim files we handle at your request;
• partners involved in the repair, such as parts suppliers or the tow truck;
• IT providers: Cloudflare (site hosting and email forwarding), Google (mailbox) and Umami (statistics);
• public authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell data. Cloudflare and Google also process data outside the Republic of Moldova, including in the US, under their own contractual data protection commitments.

6. How long we keep data

• Contact and invoicing data: up to 5 years, for accounting records.
• Photos, estimates and claim file documents: up to 5 years, to handle possible complaints and the warranty.
• Visit statistics: aggregated only, with no personal data.

7. Your rights

Under Law no. 195/2024 you have the right:

• to access your data;
• to have it corrected;
• to have it erased (“right to be forgotten”);
• to restrict or object to processing;
• to data portability;
• to withdraw consent where processing is based on it.

9. Required data and automated decisions

Contact and vehicle details are needed for the estimate and the repair: without them we cannot work on the car. The insurance company requires the claim file documents. We make no automated decisions and do no profiling.

10. Data security

ELITA-9 takes technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss or alteration. Only authorized people have access to the data.
