Car painting prices in Chișinău: a fair estimate, no surprises

The cost of repair and painting depends on the actual amount of work and the condition of the parts. You may be wondering how much it costs to paint a bumper. For a fair final price, we inspect the car on site and prepare a detailed estimate. Below are guide prices “per panel”, useful for comparing offers.

What painting a bumper involves (in brief)

  1. Removing and disassembling the bumper (sometimes also neighboring parts: grille, fender liner, headlight, etc.)
  2. Checking fasteners/guides (slides), reinforcement, brackets
  3. Replacing defective parts (if needed)
  4. Repair (plastic welding, if needed)
  5. Preparation: sanding, filler, primer, masking
  6. Painting in the booth + clear coat
  7. Controlled drying
  8. Assembly and fitting
  9. Spot polishing (if needed)
  10. Quality check

Pearl, xirallic or candy colors (tri-coat) usually need blending into the neighboring panels for a perfect match.

Why does the price of painting a car or its panels vary?

Removal/assembly time, the extent of the damage and the fasteners/guides, which differ on every model, all affect the estimate.

How do you compare car painting quotes correctly?

  • Compare the same content: removal, materials, repairs, blending, assembly, polishing, warranty.
  • Avoid a “fixed price for complex work” without an inspection: extras appear once the car is taken apart.
  • Ask for a detailed written estimate and a clear deadline.

Typical mistakes (to avoid)

  • “Phone” estimates like “how much to paint a fender?”, without seeing the car.
  • Fixed prices like “150 EUR per panel”: hidden costs or poor fixes follow later (e.g. self-tapping screws instead of new guides).
